Homes in new proposals by council, rolling four-week total

A proposal for 96 homes over eight storeys at 12–18 Parramatta Rd, Annandale, went on exhibition on 21 October, next door to our Booth St site. It has 74 car spaces, with the driveway on Booth St.

It would stand three storeys above anything else on Booth St and shade our courtyard after noon in winter. It proposes 27.4 metres where the limit is 18 metres, and the traffic report expects 410 more car trips a day.

Inner West is where the rise in new homes is, most of it in Annandale and Leichhardt. Parramatta has followed about two weeks behind. City of Sydney has barely moved.

So far 38 submissions have been lodged. We recommend one of our own, on height and traffic, before exhibition closes on 14 November.
